The surgical team led by Mr Ewen Griffiths were clearly outstanding but so too were the rest of the team; the anaesthetists, the specialist nurses, the dietitian, the staff in ICU and on the ward, even the porter who wheeled me out could not have done a better job and all with a smile. From a grateful Oesophagectomy Patient, Aug 2018

To Mr Griffiths and his wonderful team. Just a few words to thank you all for your wonderful skills and for giving me the chance to live a normal life. You will never know how grateful me and my wife and family are. Many thanks
I cannot imagine the skills involved in performing keyhole surgery on my hiatus hernia, which I understand to have involved the whole of my stomach and pancreas being extracted from my left lung, and the diaphragm repaired. What I can do is to marvel at and fully commend the skill of Mr. Griffiths and his team in this procedure, particularly given the likelihood of a major incision to access and retrieve my errant organs, which was avoided by the laperotomy. The operation was completed on Monday evening and I am writing this from home at lunchtime on Thursday, feeling predictably ‘knocked about’, but deeply grateful to Mr. Griffiths for his outstanding work and the whole of his team for their subsequent support. Thank you again!
Dear Mr Griffiths, I just wanted to thank you for doing such a good job with my hernia repair a few weeks ago. Everything’s fine now and the scars are almost invisible. Thanks too to everyone who looked after me with such care
Mr Griffiths, I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks for giving me both relief from my ‘Gastric’ problem, via stomach bypass, I very much have improved quality of life

Dear Mr Griffiths, Just a little note to say a really big thank you for your skill and expertise in removing the lymphoma that had decided to take up residence in my spleen. You did a sterling job Mr Griffiths and put me on the first step of my road to remission. I’d like to thank you for your wonderful bedside manner and excellent after care that followed. I count myself very fortunate to have had you as my surgeon.
To Mr Griffiths and all the staff at the Cancer Unit at the QE for looking after me from the first diagnosis of my tumour to the last session of chemo – my self and my husband can’t thank you enough for everything you have done.

I wish to inform you of the wonderful pre-operative care, subsequent surgery and post-operative care that my husband received under the management of Mr Ewen Griffiths, Consultant Surgeon. Mr Griffiths took the time to treat my husband, with the utmost respect, honesty and most importantly as an individual. As a result of the surgery, and despite the risks involved, my husband has now recovered.
Hi there, thank you so much for a wonderful job. I feel so good. First time I haven’t had heartburn in 35 years. Love and blessings. From PP. P.S. you are legends.
